ATP 783P (Chandos Block)- Queensland Cooper Basin

Project Summary

The Chandos Block, ATP 783P is located in the Eromanga Basin, Queensland. The exploration permit covers 1,621 sq km(400,556 acres). Drillsearch currently holds 100% working interest in the exploration permit, which is located in the Warrabin Trough and lies along the northern margin of the Permian Edge, it is approximately 35 km north of the prolific Kenmore oil field and 14 km north of the Bodalla oil field.

Seven wells have been drilled in the block between 1966 and 1994, including Chandos 1, which recovered light oil on a production test.
 

Recent Activity

The block has been farmed out to Santos Limited, who will earn 30% and operatorship after funding 100% of the acquisition of 200 sq km of 3D seismic. Santos is currently handling the Native Title Agreement process, and acquisition of 3D seismic is planned upon completion of these negotiations.
