Project Summary
PPL244 was granted on the 25th of February, 2005 for an initial term of six years, expiring on the 24the of February, 2011. PPL 244 is located on the offshore Papuan Basin in Papua New Guinea. This Permit is operated by Talisman Energy Inc. and is currently in the third year of its exploration program. The Permit contains the highly prospective major gas/condensate Flinders Prospect and the potential recoverable gas resources of about 1.6 trillion cubic foot and 140 million barrels of condensate.
Recent Activity
The Joint Venture is planning to drill a well in the third quarter of 2010.
